Best of 2012

Yes, I know it's almost February. Better late than never, right?

Grumpy Cat is a mean cat. He ruins people's lives.

In January, I tried (and failed) to complete the 30 Day Photo Challenge (found on Pinterest). I also demonstrated serial abuse of Photoshop. Oops. Feel free to take a stab at it.

The 30 Day Photo Challenge
On January 1, I announced to the world the loss of my baby weight and return to normal human pants!

On January 2, I found out I was pregnant with baby number two. Karma. We all know about her.

February 1-14, we did {14 Days of Fluffy Stuff}. The dust bunnies were the most popular.

Get at all 14 of 'em HERE!

In March, I learned some very important lessons about the awfulness of satin sheets.

yeah ... you'll have to read it.
Talen turned one in April and I recounted for you the underwhelming (at least in my seriously overachieving mind) party he didn't care about and won't remember. It did begin his love affair with M&Ms, though.

In May, we moved into a home with really bad carpet and really beautiful views.

the carpet

the view ... almost makes up for the monstrous carpet
In June, we did What Not To Wear - {walker whimsy} Edition, in which I shared all my knowledge of mommy style.

Which was exactly three posts.  woo.
Lesson 1, Lesson 2, Lesson 3

In July, I made these while sitting in front of Swampy (did you know this summer was the hottest on record since 1994? Baaaadd time to be ginormously pregnant ... also, Magic Mike was not at all what I expected. NOBODY NEEDS TO SEE THAT UP CLOSE ON A GIANT THEATER SCREEN, OKAY?):

featured on Craft Gossip!
I also posted my Pinterest Cookie Fail for YHL's Summer Pinterest Challenge. In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have slapped it up there with all those perfect people's perfect projects.

But hey, somebody's gotta to be the failure, right?

Yup, there I am. Lucky number #324
In mid-August, I thought I was in labor ... but I wasn't. I was pretty upset (despite the fact my due date wasn't until September 9th).

So I blamed cute little kitties. Cuz they're not evil at all.
But a few days later ...

Gracelyn Violet arrived, perfectly healthy and ready to take on the universe!

I was recuperating from (all natural - hooray!) childbirth in September, but I did manage to make this scarf and posted a FREE crochet pattern!

my favorite scarf to date (also seen on CG)
In October, we went to Wyoming and I made a huggable cactus. Also, Napoleon Emimurkel was invented.

Wyoming  in the fall (as seen through the bug gut covered windshield).
In November, I blogged about Amendment 64. It was awesome.

And in December, I shared our pheGNOMEinal Christmas decor, complete with handmade personalized gnomes for each member of the family!

Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 and an addendum
That's all, folks!
